Upcoming Change to IDnow - Gateway IPs
IDnow is consolidating its public IP addresses for the production system to improve system reliability and simplify infrastructure management.
What is Changing?
Currently, multiple IP address ranges are used for different functionalities. These will be replaced with a single IP subnet:
New IP Range: 213.95.145.0/27
Affected services:
- Webhooks: Source IPs will change.
- HTTP API: Connections to gateway.idnow.de must allow the new IP range.
- SFTP Access: Connections to sftp.idnow.de must allow the new IP range.
What is NOT Changing?
- Only the Production System is affected. Test environments and other systems remain unaffected.
- Call center network traffic is NOT affected.
- End user identifications and user traffic is NOT affected.
Why is This Change Happening?
Consolidating multiple IP ranges simplifies firewall configurations, improves infrastructure management, and enhances reliability.
What Do You Need to Do?
Check with your IT team to determine if action is required:
If you use IP Whitelisting for incoming connections (Webhooks):
- Add 213.95.145.0/27 to allow traffic on TCP/443 (HTTPS) before the switch.
- Remove the old webhook IPs after migration.
If you use Outbound Firewall Blocking (HTTP API and SFTP access):
- Ensure outbound connections to 213.95.145.0/27 on the following ports:
- HTTPS API: TCP/443 (gateway.idnow.de)
- SFTP Access: TCP/22 (sftp.idnow.de)
- Remove old gateway IPs after migration.
If you have a VPN/IPsec tunnel to our production system:
